Spring Newsletter – 2015
Hello
As promised to most of you, I’m not a prolific blog or newsletter writer, but I try and keep up-to-date with the things going on at Gwaenynog at least once a year. My new year resolutions always include writing more regularly, but I get busy and time goes by so fast… Anyway, onto the reasons why I’m sending this newsletter:
Weddings
You may or may not know, but we’re licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. Our first wedding was in September 2014, and it went beautifully. Here’s a few pictures from the event.
We now have 3 weddings booked for this year, and one booked for 2016 already! I think the best way to describe us is as a festival style wedding venue. So camping features quite prominently – I think one this year will have a tent village, plus a tipi for the evening event. We’re looking forward to seeing the celebrations of these lovely young couples – and it’s our pleasure to offer Gwaenynog as their venue. Let’s hope the weather behaves! So, if you know someone who’s just got engaged or starting to plan their wedding, give us a mention and pass this on – you never know, it may be exactly what they’re looking for.
Offers
We have a special offer on the go at the moment, from now until the end of June – come and stay during the week and we’re offering £20 off per night if you book dinner with us… Here’s a sample of our menu:
- Sticky Scallops with Pancetta
- Dauphinoise Potatoes
- Sea Bass with Mustard & Dill
- Vanilla Cheesecake
Things to do…
Looking to get a little fitter or perhaps try something new? We’ve got a nearby studio that’s recently started offering Pilates or perhaps you’d like to try Nordic Walking…
Or looking for another type of activity. Ever fancied learning how to make cheese, or create Belgian chocolates. Maybe even a wine tasting or a photography class??
Look out for future updates – we’re sourcing all sorts of artisan crafts and workshops that may be of interest when you visit – or might even be a reason to visit us.
Get in touch and tell us what you’d like to do…
