FAQ – Campsite
We get a lot of phone calls asking lots of questions, so have a read before you phone or email us…
Are the toilets and showers open?
Yes. We’re now open for the 2022 season.
Do you have Availability?
Our calendar is up-to-date at all times, so please click HERE, enter your date on the right and follow the instructions.
Do the fire pits come with wood?
Yes, there’s enough wood to last you all evening – so long as you don’t have lots of flames! We’re happy to sell you another bucket…
Can we bring a gazebo?
Yes, each pitch is fairly large, with plenty of room to spread out. We don’t charge extra.
What does a pitch include?
Each pitch price is for 2 adults and up to 5 children. We only charge extra for adults or additional cars (or more than 5 children!).
Can we have a hardstanding?
We only have grass pitches on our campsite, but you can use pitch 1 for hardstanding, which is by the facilities.
Is your site suitable and do you accept campervans?
Yes. We call our grass field gently sloping. The area with EHU pitches is slightly sloping, as they can all adjust to get very level, where the standard pitches (mainly for tents, and without hook-up) is flatter. If you need power for your motorhome or caravan, you need to book a pitch with EHU (Electric Hook Up).
Are dogs allowed?
Absolutely. We always welcome well-behaved dogs. All we ask is that you clear-up after them – and keep on a lead when there are other campers/dogs on site.
Do you accept groups?
Yes, although this is a quiet countryside campsite, with lots of children, so we expect groups to be considerate of other campers – no loud music please. If you’re planning to come as a family group, please let us know. Better yet, make one booking with all your pitches, so we know who is together, then we will keep you together – if you all book separately, we may not be able to accommodate you together. Thank you.
Where are you near to?
Welshpool is 12 miles away, Lake Vyrnwy is 9 miles away, Llanfair Caereinion is 4½ miles away.
Where’s the nearest place to eat or shop?
Llanfair Caereinion is the closest town to us, which is about 4.5 miles away. It has a post office and a couple of small supermarkets (Spar & Londis) as well as a Fish & Chip shop and 3 pubs. Anything more needed, then it’s Welshpool. For more information, head here.
