We have no river frontage ourselves, but are located within easy reach of numerous choices, from rivers to lakes, then of course the sea at Cardigan Bay. For details of fishing in the area, please contact any of the organisations listed below.

Montgomeryshire Angling Association, based in Welshpool. Permits are available from the Tourist Information Centre, in the middle of Welshpool. Day permits priced from £5.

Llanidloes Angling Club, based in Llanidloes has access to Llyn Clewydog, the dam and reservoir, and this club has exclusive fishing rights here.

The Wye & Usk Foundation which you can book online to obtain permits. You book the beat, not just the rod.

Severn Rivers Fisheries where you can pick up a passport scheme to fish most rivers in this area, including some of the above clubs.

There are assorted small lakes within a 10 mile radius of us which also offer fishing. Please just ask us for details.

Alternatively there is sea fishing at Barmouth – well worth the hour drive to get to the coast.

Plus you could even take a fishing boat trip – check out Barmouth Boat Trips for more information.

For more information on where to go, Explore Mid Wales has more information.

After a day wandering the banks or wading, don’t forget you won’t need to hunt around for somewhere decent to eat. Three course evening meals are available most nights, and we are licensed too.

Or for some guided fishing, please contact Andrew Cartwright, who can offer guided fly fishing in the North Powys area.
